Content Authority: Being Authoritative Means Being Easy to Link to

If you want to increase repeat visitors to your website and build higher quality backlinks then you need to create content authority when you write new content for your site. Write your content at a level in which it can easily be understood. Don’t use words that are obscure or hard to understand. The more people that can understand your message, the more people are likely to link to you and help you spread your message. Be sure to fix any spelling and grammar problems. You want your content to look like you put some thought into it when you created it.

Have an easily accessible privacy policy. Nowadays people want to know what you are doing with the information that they may provide to you. A privacy policy provides some assurance that their email address or other personal information won’t be used in a manner that isn’t widely accepted.

Let your visitors have a glimpse at who is behind the website. Be at least a little bit approachable. Place a picture of yourself on your ‘about’ page.

These things make your website appear more trustworthy and help to establish it in a position of authority. Put some thought into content authority on your website because people are more likely to link to an authority site.
